With each mindful taste, we set intentions, open our hearts, and let the sacred elixirs guide us inward. Whether with the grounding embrace of the ancient leaf or the gentle fire of mother cacao, we gather in reverence — to connect, to feel, to simply be.
Cacao Ceremony: A Journey into the Heart
Beneath the flickering glow of candlelight, we gather in sacred circle, holding warm cups of Mother Cacao — an ancient elixir of the heart, a gift from the gods. The rich, dark essence hums with wisdom, carrying the spirit of the Mayans and Aztecs*, who once called it "the food of the gods."
*The Mayans and Aztecs were two great ancient civilizations of Mesoamerica (modern-day Mexico and Central America). They were known for their advanced knowledge of astronomy, architecture, mathematics, and spirituality, as well as their deep reverence for cacao.

☕️ We sit in a circle, with soft meditative music setting the tone for inner reflection.
☕️ We pour Mother Cacao (theobromine) into our cups, sometimes adding maple syrup or chili to enhance its natural, earthy essence.
☕️ Before drinking, we take a moment to align with its energy, infusing the cacao with our personal intentions, dreams, and desires.
☕️ With slow, mindful sips, we allow the gentle heat to flow through us, warming our bodies, opening our hearts.
☕️ I guide you through journaling prompts to deepen the journey inward, tapping into intuition and inner wisdom.

Since theobromine naturally fastens heart rate, cacao may not be suitable for those suffering from existing tachycardia and/or arrhythmia (fastened or irregular heartbeat) and/or taking SSRIs and/or antipsychotics. Please consider this before attending the cacao ceremony.

🍃 We begin with a journey through tea’s origins, learning how this timeless elixir has traveled across cultures and centuries to meet us here.
🍃 I guide you through the art of tea brewing — how to awaken the leaves and bring out their fullest essence.
🍃 We explore the theine content (the caffeine of tea) and how different brews affect our energy.
🍃 We learn the ritual of pouring, honoring the flow of water into the cup, and the best vessels for savoring each infusion.
🍃 As we take our first sips, we practice tea degustation, noticing the delicate layers of taste, warmth, and aroma.
🍃 Finally, we let the ceremony unfold naturally, sipping, sharing, and speaking as the tea guides us into presence and connection.

There are no side effects to consider prior to attending the tea ceremony, but if you tend to suffer from tachycardia and/or arrhythmia (fastened or irregular heartbeat) from energising drinks — green tea or even black tea ceremonies may not be suitable for you at this time. Instead, feel free to opt in for herbal infusion or rooibos ceremonies.
